The Motability Scheme

Working in partnership for your mobility needs.

The Motability Scheme was set up in 1978 to help provide its members the freedom and independence that so many of us take for granted.

The Scheme allows anyone in receipt of a higher rate mobility allowance to use it to lease a car, scooter, powered wheelchair or Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle.

Over 600,000 people enjoy the benefits of being part of the Motability Scheme. So far, Motability have helped over 4 million people get mobile.

There are two organisations which work together to deliver the Motability Scheme.  They are Motability Operations and Motability, the Charity.
