Before you start

To add the driver to the policy, you will need their permission. If you don't have this, it may invalidate the insurance.

You'll also need the driver's:

• personal details
• licence details, including licence number and date they passed their test
• claims history for the past 5 years
• details of any motoring convictions, penalty points, bans or disqualifications in the last 5 years
• any restrictions on their licence
